Not just beauty, the sidebar has brains and brawn, too. It provides a powerful new way to organize your items by giving you access to all your vaults, in one place. Clicking on the sidebar header will reveal your vaults. Just click on an account or vault to view its items, or click All Vaults to see everything. Vaults make managing and sharing items so easy, you'll probably find yourself with lots of them, and Search will help you find what you need quickly.

Speaking of pretty and powerful, 1Password mini has been completely redesigned. You'll automatically see logins for the website you're visiting, and selecting one will fill your username and password for you. Its one-time password will also be copied to your clipboard if two-factor authentication is enabled. It will also help you organize new items by allowing you to name them, assign tags, and choose a destination vault. Like a true best friend, mini is always there for you.

It will alert you if a website has been breached so you know to change the password for that item. Security is always our top priority, so you will need to provide your Master Password the first time you unlock 1Password.

Following that, let Windows Hello unlock it for you. We want you to feel at home using it so we've made this version available to more users than ever. We thought we'd list a few others we've been enjoying most:. This is the best version of 1Password for Windows ever released and we're not even close to being finished. For 1Password 7 Beta 6, we have two awesome improvements. First, you can now add attachments to your items in your standalone vaults and 1Password can now directly fill your Login item as soon as you unlock it, as long as there is only one matched item for the site you're on. In 1Password 7 Beta 5 update today, we have a lot of nice changes for you guys; a brand-new lock view, nested tags are now collapsible, UI improvements throughout the whole app, you can opt out of Windows Hello, and so much more including support for both Chinese Simplified and Chinese Traditional localizations.

Fields with long values now display the Copy button correctly in the item detail view. Custom fields and item metadata are no longer boxed in the item detail view. We now have a nice flag to hide some features in the stable release while testing in betas.

Watchtower and adding one-time passwords will be kept in beta for now. Implement a smarter search algorithm to help you find your items quicker.

Enhanced the performance of search to display results quicker. Made rounded buttons match grouped buttons and not jump when activated. Search is now faster and smarter to help you find your items quicker. Items can now be favorited from the item detail view. The prompt for scanning 2FA codes has moved to the item detail toolbar in order to provide a more consistent experience across all items. One-time passwords are now automatically copied to the clipboard after successfully scanning a 2FA code.

Improved recognition one-time password fields on my. FILL Fixed an issue which could cause some identity items not to fill. The first character is no longer forgotten when searching from the new item list. Note fields will no longer appear above other sections unless the item is a Secure Note. Note fields no longer contain unnecessary spacing. The current page no longer freezes when saving new items with a Guest account. Removed item save notifications on Generated Passwords. Remove some unnecessary code that was slowing down search. In certain cases 1Password X would stop receiving notifications to sync. Replaced the filling brain with a version that is faster and more accurate. The search field is now automatically focused when expanding the Generator History. The Generator History no longer resizes while searching.

Item category localizations are now standardized between all 1Password apps. No longer erroneously showing the scrollbar in the inline menu. The scroll location on a page will no longer be changed when loading the inline menu.

The text cursor is now visible in the password and search fields in Firefox. Fixed an issue that could cause 1Password to not save or sync items after an account Secret Key change. One-time passwords will not be generated until after an item is successfully saved.

Clicking search everywhere now displays the details of the first item. Attempting to render specific item details should no longer result in a white screen. Tags, tags, and more tags! You can now view your items by tags! Helpful error messages will now be shown in the popup when an error occurs that would typically result in a blank white screen.

Fixed multiple issues where 1Password X would stop syncing if your sign-in details were changed. Passwords generated on a special browser page like New Tab are now saved to password history. Items containing a URL without a scheme are once again suggested as a fillable item. The Settings page now displays the correct version number. You can now unlock accounts with different passwords by signing in to them on 1password. The 1Password icon shows the correct lock state when automatically locked.

Items that contain TOTP fields with no values are now handled properly. Hat tip to sneagle for reporting this. Lightened up the field highlight colour after filling.

The same switch styles are now used throughout 1Password. Fixed an issue which could prevent newly created or updated items from displaying until 1Password was reloaded or unlocked again. Removed unused devtool menu options! Unfortunately, these changes were causing 1Password to lock too aggressively.

Added TSLint rule to ensure we never use Math. HT to Microsoft and their tslint-microsoft-contrib project. Added a new localization for Simplified Chinese. Windows coming soon.
